Welcome to Bauer Haus Pottery! The New Year, 2008, has brought enormous changes to Bauer Haus Pottery. After four years of creating production and one of a kind pottery for customers (world wide and locally), Rudy and Andi have decided to take their pottery making down the road of limited edition series work. In January 2008, Rudy had surgery on his right wrist to correct a very disabling arthritic condition by having a bone removed. In the process of deciding to have the surgery done he came to the realization that every piece of clay he forms will be a part of a series or for personal use. Despite continuing requests to attend fairs, festivals and to fulfill special orders, Rudy’s studio work is currently limited to creating series of work which he feels connected to. In every series of work, each piece is different and yet related to the mind and hands which made it. Rudy is currently organizing demonstrations in hand building and wheel throwing with the Blooming Brush in Sequim, WA. Private lessons, demonstrations and open studio time are available at Bauer Haus Pottery with advanced planning. The studio offers kiln space to fire for local potters as space provides. There are no market or festival dates planned for 2008. Bauer Haus Pottery work by both Rudy and Andi is available at Nash’s Farm Store.
